Original Communication – Information Security
Following the July 19th global IT outage triggered by an update pushed by CrowdStrike’s Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution, Information Security @ U of T anticipates concerns from the community about similar disruptions at U of T. Given the deployment of SentinelOne endpoint protection, an EDR solution similar to CrowdStrike, they have complied this resource to address questions from the community and alleviate concerns. Please note that U of T is not a CrowdStrike client, and our systems remain unaffected by this incident.
