U of T’s Campus as a Living Lab program pairs sustainability projects with upper year School of the Environment students committed to applying their sustainability knowledge to projects that improve ecological conditions, advance Indigenous reconciliation, address social wellbeing on campus, and more. Faculty and staff from across all three campuses can apply via the CLL Project Proposal Form by Friday, August 14, 2026.

Policy implications include: Expanded Oversight of Gain-of-Function and Dual-Use Research, New Certification and Compliance Obligations, and Restrictions on Foreign Collaborations.
