From legislation and policy-related information, to declassified documents, to research reports, to finance documents and expenditure figures, and historical archives, the breadth and depth of government information can be overwhelming. In a series of three workshops, learn to navigate the complex world of government information.
Parliamentary and legislative material
Want to uncover the documentary paper trail of legislative decision making and policy formation? Using Canadian examples, this session will introduce search strategies and resources for finding a breadth of primary sources such as debates, drafts of bills, and stakeholder input via committee transcripts and testimony, as well as laws and regulations. Tools to locate foreign governments’ materials will be included.
Open to University of Toronto students, faculty and staff.
