Research Impact: Strategies to Engage with Policymakers and the Public – May 11, 2021

Session Description

May 11, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm EDT

Public Engagement is a way of bringing together citizens, community, industry, and government to solve complex problems. The University of Toronto has a long history of leadership translating expertise to important societal challenges and has played a unique role in building capacity with civic, provincial, and national governments.

In partnership with U of T’s Government Relations Office (GRO), this session will feature panelists who will share their experiences and highlight public engagement strategies and tactics that supported their successful engagement with policymakers, including government stakeholders, and the public.

While this event is focused on faculty researchers, anyone in the University of Toronto community interested in engaging with policymakers and the public can learn from the collective wisdom presented in this panel.
