Drawing Across the Disciplines

Series Description

The Drawing Across the Disciplines series focuses on Knowledge Translation and Mobilization in a variety of media and formats.

The Goals for the Series

  • Explore different modes and strategies for Knowledge Mobilization (Kmb), Dissemination, and Translation (KT) to enhance reach
  • Introduce current multi-modal approaches including comics, data visualization, and zines
  • Better understand how to access or plan appropriate resources for Kmb/KT in grants and funding
  • Learn how to connect with illustrators, multi-media artists, animators and other professionals

Session Formats

The session formats in this series alternate between panel discussions with experts and Q&A followed by a complementary limited enrollment hands-on workshops. The hands-on workshop will be focused on prototyping a specific media type (e.g., comics, data visualizations, zines, podcasts) for Knowledge Mobilization and Translation.

  • Panel discussions with experts and Q&A (1-1.5 hrs in length, virtual)
  • Hands-on Workshops (~½ day in length, in-person, limited enrollment)
