The book proposal is the first step to securing your book’s publication. The online program draws on The Book Proposal Book (Portwood-Stacer, 2021) and we’ll be joined by U of T guest experts and acquiring editors who will share tips and their experience on Book Proposals. The second hour of the sessions is dedicated to co-writing time. Participation will be capped at 30. Applications will close May 8th, 2023.

U of T’s Acceleration Consortium Receives $200-million Grant to Support ‘Self-driving Labs’ Research

The funding – the largest federal research grant ever awarded to a Canadian university – will support the consortium’s work on “self-driving labs” that combine artificial intelligence, robotics and advanced computing to discover new materials and molecules in a fraction of the usual time and cost. Applications include everything from life-saving medications and biodegradable plastics to low-carbon cement and renewable energy.
U of T-led Collaboration to Develop Community-tailored Clean Energy Technologies

The CANSTOREnergy project brings together researchers from 11 Canadian universities, along with community, utility and industry partners, to develop technologies that convert carbon-based emissions into useful products, such as fuels and raw materials, and create a net-zero means of seasonal storage for renewable energy that meets specific community needs.
