On Dec. 6, the university will join communities across Canada for the National Day of Remembrance and Action for Violence Against Women to honour the lives of the 14 women killed in a devastating act of misogyny at Montreal’s École Polytechnique in 1989. All faculty, staff, students and librarians are invited to participate either in-person or virtually for this tri-campus event. Please register to attend the in-person event to be held in the Great Hall at Hart House.

On July 30, 2024, Professor Kent Moore will complete his final term as Vice-Principal, Research, at U of T Mississauga. Sincere thanks to him for his leadership over the past six years, which has culminated in the first Strategic Research Framework in our campus’ history. U of T Mississauga looks forward to building on this momentum in the search to appoint our next research leader: the Vice-Principal, Research and Innovation, a position now re-named to match its expanded scope and its peer role at U of T Scarborough.

The University of Toronto recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the expansion of the Lash Miller building on the St. George campus – a structure that will serve as the new home of the Acceleration Consortium while providing improved facilities for the Department of Chemistry.
