Original Communication – Provost’s Weekly Digest: May 10, 2024
The Steering Committee for the institutional Task Force on Artificial Intelligence announced in March has been selected. This committee will coordinate and synthesize the efforts of area-specific working groups, some of which have already begun their work. Additionally, a new institutional website on Artificial Intelligence has been launched and will support communication on initiatives, information, guidelines and developments related to AI at the University.

On April 16, the first group of Fellows were appointed to the Scholars Academy of SDGs@UofT, a tri-campus Institutional Strategic Initiative supporting faculty, students and staff working on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Scholars Academy brings together leading researchers and encourages them to pursue convergence research and knowledge mobilization to address issues critical to achieving the SDGs.
