Anti-Black racism is embedded in the history, policies, and everyday practices of urban planning and continues to create harm in our communities. This intensive 3-part, seminar-style workshop series will equip early- to mid-career urban planners and professionals working in planning-adjacent fields with the skills and language to identify how anti-Black racism operates and perpetuates, respond to racialized practices, and advance social equity and justice in their city.

Reimagining Community Engaged Research with ENGAGE RV

Community engaged research space arrives to U of T Scarborough on wheels. The newly redesigned UTSC ENGAGE RV is a 28-foot, partially solar-powered, mobile research and engagement hub created to support community-engaged scholarship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and equitable partnerships. The vehicle was intentionally designed to bring research, teaching, and community engagement directly into the places where people live, work, and gather. The RV will host activities at UTSC Alumni Fest on June 20, 2026.

A reminder that the Strategic Grant Writing Team (SGWT), launched by the Division of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation (VPRI), with support from the Provost, is available to support the writing of new grants and re-submissions for the following Tri-Agency competitions: Fall 2026 CIHR Project Grant (total project budget request >$1M) & 2026 SSHRC Insight Grant (total project budget request >$300K)
